The 2023 China Nature Education Conference kicked off in Guangzhou on July 8th.
On July 9th, Guangzhou Zoo, as a sub-venue of the 2023 China Nature Education Conference, presented a rich and colorful summer feast for the citizens. Participants of the conference explored the uniqueness of wild animals, the diversity of plants, and the wonderful mini-biosphere through a guided tour and interactive checkpoints.
Guangzhou Zoo was built and opened in 1958, consisting of mountains, water, forests, and lakes. This 42-hectare area is an oasis for over 400 species and 5,000 wild animals. Among them, there are over 100 species of National First-class and Second-class Protected Animals, and 69 species have achieved sustainable populations, ranking among the top in the country.

The exploration journey of natural education starts from the north gate of Guangzhou Zoo, where showcases the exhibition of "Experience Animals in Nature without Distance". The exhibition showcases the natural education resources and achievements of Guangzhou Zoo in recent years.
At the Monkey Station, Tiger Mountain, and Elephant House in Guangzhou Zoo, children became "animals" spokespersons", "little presenters", and "little volunteers" to carry out popular science lectures on gibbons, golden monkeys, South China tigers, elephants, and other animals, and interact with citizens and tourists through games.
Natural education institutions carried out nature courses and the nature observation activity "morning bird-watching" with animal specimens, facilities, and natural resources of animals and plants at the shore of Yanming Lake and the Science Popularization Corridor. Also, the "Nature Education Path", over 300 meters long, showcases the ecological natural environment with interesting interactive facilities to provide a multi-sensory experience for the citizens.

2023年中国自然教育大会于7月8日在广州拉开帷幕。
7月9日，广州动物园作为2023年中国自然教育大会的分会场，为市民献上了一场丰富多彩的夏日盛宴。活动参与者通过“线路导赏+体验点打卡”方式，探秘野生动物独特性、植物多样性和奇妙的微生态。
广州动物园于1958年建成开放，这片42公顷集山、水、林、湖于一体的生命绿岛保育400多种5000头（只）野生动物，其中国家一级、二级保护动物过百种，69个物种已形成可持续发展种群，种群数量位居全国前列。
自然教育探索之旅从广州动物园北门门楼开启。沿着北门门楼进入广州动物园，来到“自然森呼吸，动物林距离”成果展，展览展出广州动物园近年来开展的自然教育资源与成果。
在广州动物园的“国宝恒居——灵猴站”“第一虎山”“大使官邸——象馆”， 孩子们化身“动物代言人”“小小宣讲员”以及“小小志愿者”，开展长臂猿、金丝猴、华南虎、大象等科普宣讲，与市民游客开展游戏互动。
在雁鸣湖畔和科普长廊，自然教育机构利用动物标本、科普设施、动植物资源开展自然笔记课程和“晨观鸟”自然观察活动。300多米长的“自然教育径”展示生态自然环境，搭配趣味科普互动设施满足市民多感官体验。
